BEST COMPANY SLOGAN HERE...
The stinger now easily equals any glow plane (and in fact beats most of them) in straight up vertical! And it can do this for a full eleven minutes on a 1700 mah Lipo. And it's definitely no wimp in the speed department either!
Add a rudder servo to this combination and you have a 30 inch span pattern plane capable of pretty much any manoeuvre.
STINGER UPDATE!!!
We've been flying our stinger design all summer with a new motor combination which has proven to be amazing. Using an e-flite 370 outrunner, an 8 by 6 APC e-prop and a 1700 mah three cell lithum, we've attained unlimited vertical with this little airplane.
It now has nearly unlimited vertical, easily makes HUGE loops and flies much faster. The addition of an aluminum landing gear has it blasting off grass fields in 10-15 feet and climbing at a 70-80 degree angle right out of sight if you wish.
AMPMEISTER UPDATE!!!
Our AMPMEISTER also has new horsepower under the hood. The same E-FLITE 370 outrunner, with a three cell lipo and a 9 by 4.7 APC e-prop has dramatically improved the performance of this little airplane as well.
Each winter I design and build a radio controlled model with the local air cadet squadron. Generally this has been a glow machine, but this past winter we decided to build a small electric. This design we call the "Classy Lady" was the result.
Powered by an e-flite 370 outrunner and a three cell 2100mah lipo, this little ship is groovy and agile and easily flies most aerobatic manoeuvers. Weight is 20 ounces and the prop we use is an APC 9 by 4.7
Flight time with a lot of throttle and aerobatics is an easy eight minutes with more than twenty percent left in the lipo pack. Wingspan is 39 inches.
Because of the inexperience of the cadet builders, construction of this model is conventional balsa framework and other than selecting light wood, no special pains were taken to ensure extreme lightness. At 20 ounces and with the power of today's outrunners and larger props, the plane is an excellent flyer.
The airframe can accommodate a larger outrunner such as the e-flite 400 or 450.
Welcome to EASTWINDMODELS!
We are a father and son team who love to design, build and fly model airplanes. My name is Al Eastman and I'm pretty much the designer and my son Jon the builder and chief test pilot. Because of the interest in our little airplanes in our club and around the local area, we decided to make these plans available on the internet at a reasonable price.
